Chapter 1
1. The meaning of life is hidden in a man's heart. The eyes in their heads are closed and their mouth brings evil. To understand does not mean to comprehend one's own thoughts; but to learn what is meant for one to think.2. Thoughts flow through all humankind; Who is to understand what their thoughts proclaim? The children of the world do not grasp the thought of understanding. They are their own ruler.
3. I believe I am a humble person; living in the day of the dead. Where wicked men and women reside. And where Satan rules day and night. The books that were written of long ago are unleashed and are to be seen valid. I account for this as I live the life as so many others do and cannot verify. Man can only see what is in his heart and is blinded to what is right.
4. God gives us the power of using the mind in our own way; Does anyone use it to gain understanding?
5. The light is shining in the eyes of the world, the mind will shade it. Who will uncover the truth and help the world understand?
6. For understanding is the way to everlasting life and God gives us the power. It lies in each and every man, woman and child on earth, but understanding is diverse in each soul.
7. Why can it be that you tell a child and they believe? Tell an elder and they argue. Does not the old man deserve punishment? Have they not been told a thousand times what is right and what is wrong in the eyes of the Lord? They are quick to point their finger but they cannot understand why.
8. A child can be molded into what his father wants; A man cannot be taught once he is old. In this day, his own understanding has overcame the understanding of why he is.
9. Man is born to understand; But this was not so in the beginning. Man has to find understanding before he will rest; But will rest come before he understands? Will the final place of rest seek him out before his thoughts are to the Lord's liking?
10. Where have the stories gone of old times? Where have the men of God hidden themselves? Why has understanding gone with the time?
11. In the time of Jesus, men would walk the ends of the world to gain the understanding Christ had. Has the world ended? Is there any man that can teach the world the way to understanding? Is there understanding left on earth?
12. God is the mind in which thoughts flow; he knows what is in it.
13. The Lord does not control what he has given; It is up to the creation to administer themselves properly.
14. What is right or wrong if we lean on our own understanding? Who is to make the way of the world besides the creator of all things?
15. I have become distressful in this day; Who is there to blame but myself?
16. There are many things that a man holds close to his heart. Are the commandments of God in it? Does life alone not serve the satisfying belief that there is more to living than what we know as humans. What then, is important in a man's heart?
17. Life is, without a doubt the hardest thing we know; but the times we have are everything; God gives us this gift.
18. For God is everything we see; Everything he made. What has he made that is not perfect?
19. The importance of understanding life is having life; Only the living can understand their own. And only those who understand can live.
