You are not fit to teach

Submitted by scott on 2007-07-29

When I took my first step, my mother was there to hold my hand. When I learned to tie my shoes, my grandfather was patient enough to teach me. Those kind of things are easily learned by young ones. Same goes for the way of life. Not knowing that we do it or how it affects life, we teach what we have learned from our own experience. Same for my grandfather. He thought it was his job to teach me to tie my shoes.

Now, to understand life, we must know that we ourselves are not appropriate teachers for tomorrow's generation. We do not fully understand life in order to teach it. So how can we train and dicipline when we do not understand how ourselves should live?

In the beginning man was not taught. They learned from their own trials and came up with their own conclusions. The past few thousand years, important traits have been lost that we need in order to teach.

Our lives have blinded us from what is importantly real. We cannot teach ourselves, so how fit are we to demand understanding of anyone?
