Who can be the teacher?

Father I live my life everyday to help others find the truth. I try to deliver a message that all will kindly hear and thirst for. I know that it happened to Jesus first, but it hurts me to know that it's real. I guess that is a part of understanding that life is real (I really emphasize the word "is") and beleiving the truth...seeing the darkness from the light. To see what it holds, I can plainly see. I see it around me everyday.
Who then can be the teacher? They don't want to hear it! I will never give up, but it makes it even harder to get through. I discussed the topic with a close friend of mine. The acted really interested and seemed like they wanted to hear it. But when I began to let the word fly from me, all they did was talk about what they believe. They had something to say to everything I was talking about. After a while, I stopped. Knowing that this indeed wasn't thirst for truth. I do not fully understand life. No one can. But it is visible for anyone to see. Yet they had a reason and I couldn't get the truth in. Why do they listen to what their ancestors told them? Why does sin expand to their children and their hearts be filled with darkness?
